Why Conya Exists
Conya is political satire about the gap between official language and lived reality.
Government websites present order, progress, service delivery and institutional confidence. Citizens may encounter something very different: unanswered complaints, unexplained deaths, unforwarded evidence, missing recordings, corruption, excessive force, unaffordable services and endless promises of investigations.
Conya imitates the visual confidence of official government communication while replacing its language with the consequences citizens recognise.
The project is not anti-Kenyan. It is built on the belief that Kenya and Kenyans deserve institutions worthy of the country's intelligence, courage and democratic aspirations.

- Criticise conduct, institutions and public decisions rather than ethnicity, religion or family.
Satire Policy
All ministries, statistics, biographies, quotes and documents on this site outside the Reality Check section are fictional. Where a real, ongoing legal case is referenced in Reality Check, no accused person is described as guilty; the presumption of innocence is preserved.
Sources Policy
Factual claims in Reality Check cite named publishers with links. Where a claim is a reported allegation, it is labelled as such. Corrections are welcomed and processed visibly.
Corrections Policy
Send corrections with sources to corrections@conya.example. Substantive corrections will be noted on the affected entry with a dated changelog.
Privacy Policy
Conya does not collect personal data through forms on this site. Simulated “services” discard any typed input on close. Do not submit sensitive information anywhere on this project.
